Anna Paul was Australia’s social media sweetheart—humble, glowy, the kind of girl who cried when fans gave her letters. Mikaela Testa was her bestie, her brother’s ex, and a fellow OnlyFans queen with an equally rabid fanbase and an even more chaotic aura. And then, in late January, their friendship exploded in real time.

So what the hell happened?

Honestly, I haven’t been able to look away. And neither has the internet. This saga went so viral that Drake showed up to his Australian concert wearing a shirt with a quote from Anna’s apology video—surrounded, no less, by a swarm of OnlyFans models, including Anna’s now-sworn enemy, Mikaela Testa. You can’t script this.

​This saga spans years, involves a rotating cast of characters, and only exploded into the public eye a few months ago. So, to do it justice, this Substack will be a two-parter: Part 1 this week, Part 2 next. Once you see how deep the rabbit hole goes, you'll understand why it couldn’t possibly be contained in a single post.​

I first found Anna Paul the way most of us did: on TikTok, where she came across as a positive, down-to-earth creator who happened to drive a G-Wagon customized with a whiteboard finish and dry erase pens so fans could leave her messages when they spotted it parked. Adorable. Then one day, my friend Emily (hi Emily) sent me Anna’s Twitter—and that’s when I realized that “family-friendly vibes” weren’t the only thing paying the bills. Anna was also Australia’s top-earning OnlyFans star, bankrolling a mansion she lived in with her entire family.

(So many pets: horses, hairless cats, dogs, birds.) They traveled as a unit. It was weird! But it worked.

She even launched a skincare brand, Paullie Skin, and fans showed up for the in-person drop of her collaboration with Stax like it was The Beatles reincarnated, complete with crowd crushes and security issues, ultimately leading to the event being cancelled.

Anna had built an empire. She made it look easy. Until Mikaela—ex-girlfriend, ex-bestie, and now full-blown exposé queen—grabbed a mic and blew the whole thing up.
